0x03 Art and the Desire for Attention

One thing I have noticed about myself is that I am obsessed with wanting attention on my art. It's a very selfish take, wanting the world to "give me what I deserve!" But this is an unrealistic expectation.

I really want to just draw stuff that I find cool. There's a lot of music that I listen to that's a bit niche, and they don't get much views. But you know what? That niche music really means a lot to me. That's one thing I hope that I can give to people, is to give someone something that means a lot to them. Even if it's just a single person! I don't want to fall into a trap of just doing art because attention, that's not what I want to get out of it. If I focus on what gets the most likes, then I won't be drawing what I want. I'll be drawing what the most popular thing is.

Art is cool, I don't want to treat it as a popularity contest.
